A few of us miseries on here upset tye more optimistic posters early on this season when predicting mid table mediocrity and no Europe next season although at the time there was a hope we could go further in the League or FA cup for a change. That hope was soon extinguished.

Compared with a few seasons ago its better than relegation fights each or every other season but for the investment in players over Moyes tenure, the tipping point was early 2022 in the league when results began to suffer and have at best been erratic ever since. The European record was good but is now beginning to slip.

If Moyes was successful in his frst 2 or 3 seasons, he will have abject failure this season if, as exoected, we finish mid table and win nowt

As has been the case all season, our league position is false. We’ve blagged too many results which inevitably dries up. I think we’ll win maybe 2 of our last 10, Luton and possibly Fulham at home and lose the rest. Then we’ll be in our true position.

No, we're going out. We've played into their hands because we've played them into some form and they prefer to counter attack. We also have no clue breaking teams down set up to counter attack so we'll just bang balls into the box expecting Bowen to somehow leap like a fucking salmon an nut a couple in. This won't work but we'll just keep doing it because we have no fuckin clue under Moyes. Then there will be a slew of rash subs too late in the game to make any fucking difference to the inevitable result, we'll have every cunt on the pitch, Antonio, Ings, my fucking nan, Soucek standing in their box and we'll lump ball in the box some more. That's when we get sucker punched with some fuck up from calamity 'Nathan Agard' or own goal specialist Bobby Mavro.

We'll be out with nothing to play for and some snivelling little cunts on here will still be saying the prick has credit on the fucking bank. Sack the prick today, give us a chance.

What I found piss poor was that scoring after what 20 seconds of the second half but not again until fucking injury time, any side worth their sort against shit like Burnley, on the back foot, would have run out 4-2 or 5-2 winners, or worse case scored late with a winner, but we couldn't manage either. Our home record against lower half sides this season is shocking, fuck knows how we are still 7th.

I think we will win Thursday, assuming Moyes doesn't make a complete mess of it, think we will be hurting with a lot of harsh words being said. Also think it will be rocking over there, albeit don't suppose the early KO helps.

I have faith.. faith that even Moyes would not see Thursday as a day to pick vindictive pettiness over reality!

We need to over power Freiburg from the start and that means all out attack at home. There's no room for players that cant do that. Even if he wants to keep Soucek he cant have JWP as well. One or the other has to be dropped.

If it were me I drop both and play Antonio and Ings from the start. Right JWP can only do corners (which he does exactly the same every time and therefore ar easy to defend against). Anyone can do decent corners surely?

I'd pair Zouma or Ogbonna, with Mav and Aguerd because I think Zouma / Ogbonna generally read the game better but all our defenders have clangers in them apart from Emerson.

------------------Areola ------------
Coufal --- Zouma - Aguerd - Emerson
-----------------Alvarez-----------
------------ Kudus Ings-----------
Bowen - Antonio - Paqueta

Tend to agree Vexed.

No Emerson is a big loss and watch him put Zouma back in for Mavropanos because its about showing his choice of players is better than Steidtens. The Greek has been solid and nullified a lot of attacks, made some decent clearances and won everything in the air. But 3 or 4 bad passes out from the back undrrmined the good work and he needs to work on that. Hes pretty quick for a big bloke but Moyes will get his transfer Aguerd back in and his transfer Zouma in.

Soucek will play and we have to hope he has a 1 in 5 game performance. He will start with Bowen central again.

Cresswell will get roasted by that Japanese looking fella who is auick and tricky

Tbh, highly unlikely we will win the Europa as there are some decent teams left ( Roma etc ) and Liverpool but going out to Freiberg would be largely due to Moyesball the embodiment of “not having a go”

I still think we’ll go through Thursday, but given some of performances lately, I’m not sure we’ll go much further. Ings can score goals, who knew? Well probably everyone except Moyes, and he signed him. On another day he has a hat-trick so he has to feature this week. We’ll have to start straight on the front foot though.

We're going out of the Europa on Thursday, I'll tell you that now. As soon as we got the draw it was obvious that Moyes' completely unfounded arrogance would came racing to the surface and we'd get tactically mugged off by them. I expect the same on Thursday, but we'll get a draw.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread - Preview
A big problem we have is that Soucek, Phillips and JWP are all SHIT, and Moyes is always going to play at least two of them, so we're on the back foot from the off.

The cunt has a lot of thinking to do 'coz he needs to get it right on Thursday.

With the handball at the end, it looked like it came off Berge’s right hand onto his left hand. But I only saw it from one angle. I’m sure that VAR checked all the available angles like they always do. If it did come off his head, it was more of a directed header than a ricochet.

But apparently it didn’t even warrant discussion from the cunts on the telly. Liverpool were robbed and that’s all you need to know. Cunts!

Sure others have said but hopefully this shows how we should start games.

Adding Antonio to the 3 of Bowen / kudus and Paq gives us much better balance.

Two holding midfield players.

Have to start the same on Thursday.

I'm sure that we have one of the worst records for shots conceded, Burnley could easily have 4 or 5 goals yesterday and this is against a team that Moyes sets up not to concede. Pundits seem to think Moyes is some sort of defensive genius when his tactics work but getting ten behind the ball against teams like Burnley doesn't make you a defensive genius it's makes you look like a clueless cunt

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Burnley- Official Match Thread
Fofana gets lucky for the first goal as he plays a 1-2 off Aguerds shins and the ball falls to him
Phillips is there but stops and puts his hands up in the air as he lets him walk past him
Great strike but Phillips should have stood in front of him
He is and continues to be awful
The difference with Alvarez on was staggering

Moyes has some cheek moaning about the fans being quiet

That first half we just sat there watching Burnley piss the ball around and our lot not get near them. It was embarrassing. His tactics are an absolute joke at home to one of worst sides in the league.

JWP was dreadful, Soucek doesnt contribute anything. I didnt actually think Phillips was that bad first half, although Alvarez was good when he came on.

Kudus looks a little bit off form lately. I think there is a case to start Ings in the 10 on thurs with JWP dropped

I watched a video on YouTube with Gonzo and his old man . Straight after the Freiberg game . And his dad nailed it completely when he said we always play with one less attacker than we should be . It Moyes thinks our defensive players are better than our attacking ones . He's even more incompetent than our supporters think .

The fixtures coming up are no harder than our December ones . And we came out 2nd in the form table that month. Problem is the players look as pissed off with Moyesball as the vast majority of supporters . .

Didn't the ball come off his own head?

If so I think the rule is if it hits your hand deflected off another part of your body it isn't handball.

Stupid question that was a handball at the end right? As to me it seemed to get ignored did var even check it.

If there are any positives to come from this shit show then I think the pent up anger and frustration, plus Antonio and Ings looking good, will see us come out on Thursday and possibly blitz the Eric's.

With tougher league fixtures now I think we can forget about Europe via the league.

Agreed Vexed - they talk about it at length in the Liverpool Manchester City game, but no mention of the clear one against us.

Also - Ings seemed genuinely emotional in that short interview. I still reckon he’s a good striker, just that moyes has fucked him by not playing to his strengths.

He’s also doing the same with JWP that he did with Fornals. Playing him out of position and then subbing him off. Won’t be long before he’s not starting.

Sincerely hope moyes goes this summer.
